(#47) Indianapolis, Indiana

Hi All,
Last week was fun and busy too!

I arrived in Indy on Friday the 29th, just in time for Brandon(Tony's oldest son) and Sara's rehearsal dinner.

Saturday we had a a small Gentry Family reunion, with as many Gentry's as we could round up. It was fun getting to know my new family and they all seem like wonderful family to have.

Sunday was the Big Day for Brandon and Sara. Everyone had a great time. The wedding was beautiful and so was the Bride! The Groom was handsome as well. The church they got married in was in an old historic part of town and was very grand, beautiful stained glass windows and very high cathedral ceilings. Mikey and Jonny (Tony's younger sons) couldn't wait for reception food and talked thier Uncle Chuck into a burger run on the way to the reception (teenage boys are always hungry it seems). The reception was held at an old converted train station and was very cool, with it's old architechture and so much of the train station still in it's original grand state.

Monday the Bride and Groom met the family downtown for breakfast before heading off to England for their honeymoon and then all the Californians headed downtown for the historic tour. The architecture was beautiful in all the old buildings and monuments. We even visited uncle Chuck's office in the State Capital building (but he was on vacation).

After dropping off the other Califorians at the airport, Tony and I went by to see the Indy 500 Museum. Unfortunately it was closed by the time we got there, but it was cool seeing the track and the grounds of the 500.

We had lots of other found memories in Indianapolis too. Dinner with Sara's parents, dinner with Tracy and Celeste and touring around all the childhood homes and hangouts Tony had was all great!

All in all I had a great time in Indy! Sue
