(#46) Body Wraps

Whew! It feels good to breath again. Tonight my daughter Dawn and I went to get a full body wrap. It's supposed to get rid of toxins in the body and inches too :), and let's face it I was caring more about getting rid of the inches. They do this by wrapping you neck to ankles in ace bandages and wet you down with minerals and herbs, then make you work out for an hour. Tiffany (the very sweet lady who wrapped me) measured before and after and said I lost 13 inches overall. To be honest I did see a little bit of difference. However if you have any form of clostrophobia I don't recommend it. I personally had a little trouble breathing after being wrapped so tight. And unfortunatly, my problem areas seem to remain problems :(

Have a great weekend everyone!
I'm heading for Indiana tomorrow, I've never been there so that'll be coming soon to a blog near you :) Sue

(#45) Hot Air Balloon Ride

Hi All,
Well, yesterday was an Adventure. Tony and I went for a Romantic one hour Hot Air Balloon "Sunset Champagne Flight",what was supposed to have been over Del Mar, CA. What we ended up getting was about 20 minutes over Encinitas and Rancho Sante Fe (just before sunset) until we landed in the bushes on the side of a hill in a backyard of a very exclusive neighborhood in Rancho Santa Fe. The people who owned the property we landed on were very helpful and nice even helping to pull the balloon out of the bushes (probably also out of fear the balloons' burner would catch their bushes on fire). So as it became pitch black out, and the crew attempted to retrieve us from the hillside with no access road, the tune of the theme song from Gilligan's Island kept coming out of my mouth "A THREE HOUR TOUR". Only with different verses, like: "The weather started out real nice, the tiny balloon was launched, then we lost the wind real fast and darn it we got stuck". And a few other similar verses like that. Luckily everyone found them amusing (except my husband, who didn't look happy as he walked the balloon down to the access road through the thistles). I may not have been as creative or amusued either if I didn't get to stay in the balloon until we were rescued about an hour later :) Oh well, I guess when you book a flight online from "Adventure Flights" they really do mean Adventure, they just didn't say what kind. Have a great week everyone! Sue

(#44) San Diego "Trolley/Bus" Historic Tour

Hi All,
Well Tony and I went down town to take the Historic tour of San Diego on Sunday. It was a lot of fun and we wish we'd started out a little earlier in the day so we would've had more time to spend at each stop. But it was a great way to see a whole lot of San Diego that's for sure. We had 9 stops that included, San Diego's Old Town (Lots of great historic buildings and good Mexican restaurants too), San Diego Harbor (Midway Museum and cruise ship terminal), Seaport Village (Good shopping and a real old fashioned wooden carosel), Marriott Hotel and Marina, Horton Plaza/ Gaslamp Quarters (great restaurants and more historic places), William Heath Davis House (Museum), Coronando Island (Hotel Del and a fabulous beach), San Diego Zoo (Lions and Tigers and Bears, OH MY! ) and Balboa Park/ Prado (Lots of Museums, the Old Globe Outdoor Theater and the worlds largest outdoor pipe Organ too!) .

If you do this make sure to start early and take advantage of the whole day! For $30 a person it's a good deal for all you get to see and learn about in a day. Plus you don't have to worry about parking or DUI's after Margaritas in Old Town :)
Have a great week! Sue
