(#16) Riding 4 Wheelers / ATV's
Hi All,
Today was a blast! I got to go see my old friend Dave Chilton,(who I've known since 5th grade)and learned to ride ATV's. At first he took it easy on me and let me toodle up and down his very long driveway, then he took me up into the hills surrounding his property and I thought I was going to die a couple times.
Thankfully his son Ryan (who also went along for a ride with us) was very helpful and whenever I got stuck or too scared to go up or down a hill(some of them were very steep) he'd get off his ATV and climb on with me and take it up or down for me and go back and get his. THANKS RYAN!!! I had to walk up and down one gully myself when he took it through, but that's what I get for being a chicken I guess. Dave's Grandson Jeremiah (6) was very encouraging and helpful too. Except the time when he told me "Whew! I didn't think you were gonna make that one!" But that's OK, I didn't think I was either.
At the end of the day, I was dusty, tired and sore. But I'd do it again tomorrow if I could and just really enjoyed the whole day. He has such a beautiful piece of property up there(between Temecula and Lake Elsinore),just stopping up top to enjoy the view, on such a clear bright sunny day, was the absolute best.
I guess I also need to say thanks to Ron S.(another friend from High School) because it was his automatic ATV that Dave was letting me ride all day. So Thanks Dave and Ryan and Jeremiah for all you did for me today and Thanks to you too Ron for the use of your Polaris ATV! I'll be back soon to ride again if given the chance (Hint,Hint).
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year too! God Bless, Sue
