(#11) A Day at the Spa / Mud bath
Hi All,
Yesterday was a fun and relaxing day. My first "Day at the Spa". My friend Kathy and I went to Glen Ivy Spa in Corona, Ca. We enjoyed all the different treatments they offered.
First we did a red clay mud bath,(that stuff is hard to scrub off and I recommend wearing an old bathing suit you don't care about because the clay stains), it was fun smearing it all over, then you sit in the sun and let it dry to pull out the impurities from the skin.
Secondly we had a sea kelp treatment in the underground grotto, they paint it on you with a paint brush, then you sit in the underground steam sauna a few minutes and let the moisturizing take effect,(this stuff was hard to get off too, but doesn't stain), your skin feels wonderful and smooth afterwards.
Then the best part of the day(for me anyway),was the full body Swedish massage. The worst thing about that is they make you leave after getting you so relaxed you are nodding off on the table.
We also sat in the jacuzzi a while and enjoyed that. We didn't participate in the water aerobics classes or the pool (that seemed more like work than relaxing), those didn't seem to fit the theme of the day "relax". Time also didn't permit for the above ground steam bath/sauna, so we'll have to do all those next time I guess. We are definitely doing this again!
Have a great weekend! Sunday is the Ballet. I'm starting to think I might actually get all these things accomplished by next Nov. 6th, 2006. God Bless! Sue
